Wednesday, August 10, 1864 Lagrange Detailed on Picket duty [illegible] not needed and were sent back to quarters [illegible] at the Hospital. Sold our squads ration of [illegible] Thursday 11 Detailed on Picket duty our Post 1 1/2 miles north camp at [illegible] where we had plenty of Peaches & green corn I traded my bread one loaf for a [illegible] of Jonny cake [illegible] Friday 12 relieved by Co [illegible] men at 10 A.M. I went 1 1/2 miles northwest of my post and [illegible]
