New Hartford WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 1864 we made a potato bin in the cellar and a prop under the door went after dinner to deney potatos dug 15 bush to day John Davis come to borrow a (shave?) he is to put the handles on. Spoked to Flinns to get him to help pry the house in the THURSDAY 18 Flinn Martin and Hammond helped us pry up the house. Cons 2 girls helped us pick up potatos we got over 20 bush after dinner. went to the [illegible] Seagus in evening. dog was dead this morning FRIDAY 14 Alice and Ann Conn helped us pick potatos all day 25 bu potatos Coller come to see pa and two Irishman to look acresof land west of C. Ensigns
