New Hartford THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1864 Went to the {?} at Cedar Falls - Judge Hubbard spoke. (?) down with Jas Coller Hannah and Sousana (?) (?) rode down with The Waterloo Fire Company was there Hammond took 3 bush lime home for us got my Silver pen holder WEDNESDAY 19 Thomas Conn helped us pick up potatos we dug about thirty bushels, our little colt stayed with Flinn (? (?) it clouded up just at night and commenced raining read (?) (?) History of U.S. THURSDAY 20 went after the John Jerome come here and the Collins (?) @ $30.00 & killed him in the barn Eugene & John Caller was here it rained all day (rest illegible)
