THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 1864. New Hartford [Mr.?] Needham here all night. I rode to Cedar Falls with him. To see [Dr.?] Brown. Brown came to New Hartford with E. Foster and me. Bought Brace & 8 bitts. Mr. Needham [got?] here [8 d?] [Mr.?] [Gilbert?] went after [Simia?] [horse?] FRIDAY 18 Took [Simia? Simisa?] to school. drew 8 saw logs to mill in 2 loads and 2 loads of wood home. Gilbert came [home from?] Bryants Wells. Sold Tavernstand to Brown for $ [?] SATURDAY 19 went after [court? cows?] in C. S. [Roots?] hay stacks. got [Drinkfort?] from [T?] whigs. went to Jamasons for floor boards. went to S. B. [Ensegus?] he not at home [illegible?] [send?] left saddle
