1865 New Hartford September Fri. Sep. 1st Took my wood to C. F. started 3 1/2 A.m. got 48 cts 61 lbs. B'ot new coat $15.50, whip $1.20 sold 4 3/4 wheat 80 cts -- got home before M drew 1 ld hay made whippletree Sat 2d. Drew 3 lds hay making in all about 12 Tons in Barn To "[Good?]" Templars "[Fri.?]" Sun 3rd C. R. Harmon here all night we slept in hay mow went bathing A.m. quite hot Mon 4 It rained last night quite hard. cleaned out stables. Pa mowed. bot seat boards to degree meeting Tues 5th Livington made seat, & mowed I turned cut "[hay?]"
