Camp. Merritt. N.J. Sept. 6th, 1918 My Dearest Bess: I hope you will over look my not writing as regularly as usual because we have been very busy since landing here. Are rapidly getting things into shape though and that makes it better. We have been getting things settled although I suppose you realize it will not be any permanent quarters. You will be notified by a card when I arrive on the other side and I will write you again then. You will not receive any mail in 3-4 weeks though so don't be dissapointed. Owing to conditions etc it
