It would be rather an enjoyable trip I believe if Bess and Helen were here and we were through with this war. It has been brought home to me very forcibly that each person in the U.S. should exert every ounce of strength to win this war. Money for war purposes seems such a little thing when one sees these boys going across and giving all they have. I am sure they will all give a good account of themselves when it comes to settling accounts with those that sank the Lusitania with the women & children on board. Tell Blanche that I would invite her to my fishing party here if I knew just where I could call home. Hope she is well. I surely had hard luck seeing Gertrude missed her both ways.
