My Dearest Bess: Well I will say that this is my third letter so that you will know how they run as dates are left off. The weather is fine today and the sea is more calm than yesterday. I don't suppose the sea was really very rough but it seemed so to us that have never experienced this before. The dishes would go from one end of the table to the other if it were not for little partitions on table so that ones eggs do not float down to his 7th removed neighbor. I have been able to go to the dining
