Army and Navy Young Men's Christian Association “With The Colors” My Dearest Bess: Well we sighted land this morning and it was rather a welcome sight although I had become rather accustomed to the boat proposition. I suppose you have had the card and letter which I sent you a long time ago as it will probably be sometime before you get this letter. Slept with my shoes on last night but it didn't interfere with my sleeping as it was so rough the night before that I had all I could do staying in my bunk. The sight of land has had a wonderful effect on the men and they seem much happier. This is Friday and I never realized, the fish proposition until you get a steady flow of fish
