Reserved for Paige Mitchell. My Dearest Bess. Although I wrote yesterday I did not get your letter mailed until this morning but realizing that I have a good many to make up for I will start doing it. There is still nothing doing in particular. We will undoubtedly be a little while getting things organized to take up our work. I was through the fracture wards this morning and it was a pitiful sight to see all those fellows shot up. It makes a fellow hate the out fit that started thing worse than ever. They seem to be quite happy though. I suppose it is good for them to get in a hospital after traveling over the roads. I think we will not be stationed very far from Paris but of course can not tell for certain. They will pick us out as they need us and I am following my policy of going where I am sent without making any holler. Some of our div were sent up about 35 mi from here so will not find out how it is up there until I hear from them.
