Nov. 25, 1942 Pueblo, Colorado Dear Dad & Mom: Just got back from down town got a pair of pants which had getting cleaned picked up some pictures for a friend got my corporal stripes put on my blouse also on our corps insignia. I got my picture taken today I wasnt just satisfied with the way I had to do. I wont be around when it gets done so Im having it sent directly to you. It is to be a large one, tinted & in a folder. if it isnt good throw it away and I can try it again later. I have seem some work the studio has done and it is good but with my usual luck it will probably be awful. I called the P.E.O lady and told her I couldn't be there for Thanksgiving dinner. She is Mrs. Dan J. Morton - 3001 High St., Pueblo Colo. she seemed very nice to talk to and Im sorry I couldnt make it. She said it was quite a coincidence that the first letter she got with a soldiers name should be from Fayette Co. Iowa because that's where she was born
