Constance Judd Dear Mrs. Fox I have received your letter, to which I am answering now. I know that you can not realize that your husband will not come back. I am sorry to say it is true. Mr. Fox went to Semendria on the second of February, and the letter that you had was written in Semendria but sent from Belgrade. For all the time while we were staying in Semendra we were very sleepy indeed, and we had to lot of work. The weatten was very, and we had to go in few villages and there he got the cold. Once he told me that he is going to bed for he does not feel very well. At the first he did not seem to be very ill. As I told you we were rooming to- gather so I wasn't with him to our bed-room made for him his bed, took off his dress and made to him. The comforts which were necessary. That first night he felt better and we made some jokes, then he said that he wouldn't go to a concerto where we went and came back very soon for he could not stay there. Then he said to me that he is getting higher temperature. Then he made some jokes and we were laughing.
