Jan. 30, 1943 Tucson, Ariz. Dear Dad & Mom: Another warm day the sun fairly burned down after dinner when it decided to warm up. wish I might share it with you. Everytime I look at the picture you sent I wonder how it can be so cold there and so warm here. All the guys who look at them want to know who that good looking girl is and where she lives, they are fine pictures of Bev. Today I took a G. S. drivers license test which I think I passed got 97% on my written test which was a snap and the driving test I didn't do so hot at as it was in a 2 1/2 ton truck and wasnt easy to shift but I guess I made it. They authorized nine of us maintenance men to take the test dont know why but maybe to drive the others to & from work. Finished up our work on the supercharger modification today and got the driver boot finished as well as a lot of tinker work which has been piling up over quite a long time.
