crosses, all alike, speak eloquently of our country's democracy and of the united effort that was required to save the world from a catastrophe. When I remember the faithful and efficient service rendered by the Medical Corps, and then learn more & more of the intensity of the suffering in Serbia during the war, it seems to me that you ought to find much gratification in the service rendered by your husband. The days of this separation must be long & lonely, (illegible) your suffering you have my deepest sympathy. It was hard enough to endure a year and a half of separation from Edna, during the war, but yours makes our trial sink into insignificance. May you be given the comfort needed for each day. Edna has written that she expects to visit you in Waucome - perhaps she has already been with you I should count it a privilege to see you on my next trip West, and to tell you about Suresnes & Serbia. With all cordial good wishes, I beg to remain, Yours most sincerely Edwin Lee
