IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Sat. Dear Mrs. Fox: Not being so fortunate as to have a typewriter in bed with me I fear that I must rely on, as you have suggested our mutually (illegible) (illegible). This year has most certainly been a relavotion to me and has opened my eyes as to how little we appreciate a truly conventious good Doctor. (illegible) it is quite wonderfull the admiration and respect that Dr Fox engended while associated here. Dr Prentiss told our Class that he had the greatest potentialities of any Iowa graduate in the history of the school. I certainly wish that when I pass on I may leave behind me but a fraction of the lasting esteem in which the Doctor is held. I don't believe I have seen Helen for over two years and I suppose I would hardly know her now. It is not the most enjoyable of tasks to write in bed so will close. Sincerely, Leland B.
