your opinion of people. I remember the first time I saw Rhude, it was down at the lumber yard and he had come to see about renting the house, wearing sap sucker pants and that old visor. I kind of looked him over out of the corner of my eye and when Pop said he had rented the house I kind of wondered about his judgement. But I've noticed its usually right. You folks are fortunate in having such good neighbors. Wrote Uncle Raymond a short letter last night but am I behind on my correspondence. Irma say's Jim has been working in the nursery right along with his Portugees and is almost as brown as they are. Built a combination chicken houses and tool shed and they have had three batches of chickens 25 at a time and have enjoyed them very much, broilers and fryers. Also they have a pair of rabbits, two sheep and the dogs so they are quite farmers. Their garden looks the best this year that it ever has as they have done it themselves instead of hoping there would be a slack time and the men could help. She does write grand letters and I enjoyed hearing from them after so long.
