I want to know of pap if this receipt is all the cost interest and principle I thought that it was more than that I think he has made a mistake one hundred & seventy six dollars & eighty six cents in the receipt  I have not heard from the boy since the day before that battle I want you to tell me where to write or you write to them for me and tell them to give me an account of what they seen of the Battle and send me their likeness  J H Jones’s little girl is on the point of Death this make eight weeks that they have expected here to die hourly but this morning I learn she is worse the two Stephenson boys and Sarah Brother is in the army in Mo.  Well I must stop writing and go to Sunday School and Class meeting  I forgot to tell you that I am Sergeant of a big company here just come back from School & meeting & had a good time I am a Teacher of the first class I want to know where Aaron Bobuck & Jerry Newman is of if they are in the army.  I want you to write as soon as you get this and let me know how all the folks are tell J D Hillis that this is a first rate place for him for all the Doctors here go for the pay not for the patient and if they go to see a patient five miles from home the charge fifty dollars & some charge more (I mean for one or two calls) so no more this time  J H Jone child is dieing they think this is all the paper I have the sheet is larg but I cont all I {?]
