Sedalia Mo March 7 62 Dear father and mother i again seat myself to write you a few lines letting you know that i well at present and hope these few lines will find you the same. This is probably the last letter you will get from me at this place for we have orders to march on the 10th to Kentucky post haste the Iowa 6, 8 and 13 are going together to form a brigade at St. Louis and march in to the rebel state et messenger has been sent after the companies that have gone to Henry co a scouting and as soon as they come back we will start for St. Louis they will be back to night or tomorrow
