Well i will write a few lines also I am not very well at this time but i hope you all are. We have drawed our money and started it home it was sent to Pella in care of Dr. Young of Knoxville I sent 80 harmon 85 Dave Newman sent Terry 100 all of it is in one package you can give Terry his you said John Free was going to get me a mare with mine Well that will be all right i want a young mare I dont want a 9 or 10 year old John knows what kind will suit me one that will suit him will me but for god sake dont get a pale sorrel i would rather have an [illegible] Well as peter does not feel like writing I will try and fill this we have no postage stamps here or we would pay the postage it is here just like as if we was in a wilderness we dont se any body but soldiers we are in two mile of Corinth and can hear the Rebels drums as plane as we can our own they have battalion drill in a field about a quarter of a mile from here it is fun to see them get in there and get all mixed up Henry Lemmons has gone to the 17th and dave Newman is on picket Isiah is gone to the hospital Frank Sherwood has burnt his foot by steping into a kettle of coffie when he was on kook I guess I will have to go on picket, about tonight Edward H Mark
