June 27 1918 Dear Mother, Well the mail came at last, I received 38 letters. All good ones to. There is nothing like a good bunch of letters to [come?] over here. I had a good laugh over one of yours. You was telling me about the Deaf and Dum fellow who was passed at [Logan?] you said he hid himself under a culfert for four days, and when they found him he was so week he could hardley speak. Ha. Ha. Ha, that's one on you.
