Panama City, Fla April 18, 1944 Dear Dave, Y's Men's Club, & Various & sundry other kind souls; Dave I want to appologize for not writing you sooner and thanking you for the swell letters you are getting out to us guys, Having tasted a bit of G.I., I know you know what helps out, especially the mail call. I have gotten such a bang out of your letters that I have passed them around for others to read & believe your idea will soon spread and become nation wide. We have passed your letters on, one to Harry Barker and Jim Bey, and I know other guys are doing the same. Dave I'm still doing the same kind of work as at Country Corner, pumping gas, tires, batteries servicing and mechanical work. Have gotten lots of good experience and have the best of equipment to work with. We have a new garage and a swell bunch of fellows to work with, have also done lots of painting, (one color) Only a few of us left here and we expect to have a change of address soon, however keep those letters coming and I'll try and repay you some day for this kind & thoughtful deed. Give my regards & regrets to Geegie McFarlane. One of the boys, Don Orr
