April 29 1944 Dear Dave, No doubt you think me an ungrateful sort of fellow to receive those swell letters you've been putting out for the boys and not even drop you a card of thanks, but to be perfectly honest this past couple of weeks have been pretty messed up as they always are when in the process of changing stations, so have waited until I at last have a fairly permanent address.
