Don Tucker(cousin of Gene) from Muscatine is in the same squad so I share the "Scuttlebutt" with him. I appreciate the "Evening Journal" too even if the news is four days old when it gets here. There are some sections like the school news, Shannons editorial, "By The Way Rocking Chair Brigade" and even the classified adds that I enjoy reading over many times if I have the time. Have you found out anything more about the International Y's Men Convention? I hope you fellows can swing it to Washington, I'm sure that you can show them a good time. Only wish that I could be there to help out. We're putting on the "Desert Song" with the assistance of some Hollywood Starlets. It's a lot of fun but I don't have much time to be in it. The two things that I enjoy most in the Army are: the church and word from home without lots of both I don't see how I could endure Army life. So keep up the good work and I'll do my best to keep you posted from this end. Sincerely yours, Lt. Boyd W White 37692524 Co.B. 89 Inf. Tng Bn ℅ 4th Platoon Camp Roberts, California
