They keep us hopping from revielle to taps all during the week. Evidence of this is the number of three-quarter length cigarette butts in the butt can on the porch. The only time to write letters is during study time, which is a breach of regulation. I manage to excape from guard duty and detail by acting as bugler at retreat, taps and revielle. I always knew blowing that horn would do me some good sometime. I'd like to be back home and go through graduation again this year. Speaking of high school days, I understand coach, John Harp went to the army. The Coffee Club will have to rush around looking for a star to put behind his name. The physical training gained at W.H.S. really helps here. It's about time for "taps" so I guess I'll have to sign off. And thanks for the news letters as they really sum up the things of interest from home. Sincerely, [A/S] John C. Pendock
