Oct. 8, 1944 Dear Dave, Your 27th "Drip" got here to-day. And it, like the rest, was enjoyed very much. The weather report you gave was very good, - clear, crisp, bright, sunshiny days!! Boy what a day! I can see now, even tho we have, rain, mud, more mud, and heat. We moved out of our tents and into quonset huts yesterday. Gosh, almost as good as stateside duty. We came ashore here on this island in the Marianas about (censored) I haven't seen anyone from Wash.
