29 Oct. 44 Dear Dave, I think you really stuck your neck out in asking for a can of “K’ ration. I can just see your mail coming in with packages of cans. But just in case it hasn’t happened that way I want you to go out and ask my mother for a can I have at home. It is “C” ration but I’m sure it will give you the idea. Originally I brought it home to let the family try it but decided it would only shatter the morale since Bill is in New Guinea. A couple of weeks ago I made another change however Im in the same
