fighting this past month on the road to Bologna, but the Germans don’t seem to want us to have it. One of these mornings they’ll wake up to find we pulled an end around play & are there though. I’m one of the oldest boys in my Co. now. I’ve only been wounded once so I feel much luckier than some of the boys who have lost a limb or worst; which we all know there have been a lot of. I have been to Rome a few times, but none are like the first time I was there. I was on a special task force that took Rome. We were more afraid of falling down & being stomped to death by the crowd then we were of kraut snipers.
