[Nov. 28, 1944] Tuesday Dear Dave: In view of the fact I haven't written you, I will say I'm sorry and that I hope to do better in the future. "Scuttlebutt" has been coming regularly ever since the first issue and I enjoy it very much. Once in a while I wont get it until Wed. then I think that you have decided to scratch me off the list, so in order to keep you informed, I'm still at Randolph. You claim to be quite a chicken farmer. How about writing or publishing an article in the art of poultry farming, and send it to a few of these Texans. You buy a chicken here and after cleaning and frying, it resembles a good fat sparrow. They are indeed behind in the art of of raising produce.
