we would have no baggage to take with us it will be stored away until we return then he said he would leave it to Col Geddes whether he would go or not he also said that it was likely to be the last campaign of the war and of course Col Geddes done what was right he going with the expedition he said Sherman told him he could take the Regt home about the middle of March but I know that cannot be  so the campaign will not get fairly started before that time If all this be as Sherman said it would be I would not miss being in it for anything he said we would have  long marches and some fighting to do I dont care how far we march for my part I can march as far as any other man as for the fighting we don't expect to march all over the South without doing some fighting We will have an army of thirty thousand So the Col said he also said he would like to let us know where we was going but he said he had orders not to as it might leak out
