in this so you must not grumble I expect
we get all the letters you write for they get
delayed sometimes a week or two I am sorry
to hear of the crops not looking very well for
we will want lots of grub for we will
have some hard fighting to do this fall
but I don't think it will last long for
we are going to work in earnest and wipe
the rebels clan out and come home and
go to work and clean them out back there
and then by that time we will be ready
to die or do something else.
The boys are well and doing well. Jacob Wyman will get his Veteran furlough and start home in a few days he is lucky The boys all went into the Orphans home pretty well all that did go in went in from five to twenty five four of our company took life membership Cooper Clark Banta and Anderson I have not heard how much our Regt contributed  to the institution yet but will in a few days.
