June 4th, 1965 Montgomery Ala Dear Friends. Mary, I now seat myself this beautiful Sabbath morning to write you a few lines to let you know that I am well and harty and I hope and trust that those few lines will find you the same. I am almost ashamed to write after having neglected it so long. I received a letter from you a long time ago and have not answered it until now and I have not ought to have answered it at all just because you went and got married before C. E got home for I wanted to beat your wedding but it is done and well of it before this time and I wish you much joy and every 2 years a big boy be shure and don’t have any girls for there is to many of them now go it while you are young I intend to marry in 24 hours after I get home myself.
