Camp on Bear Creek Miss October the 14 Dear father and mother I am permitted again to write you a few lines to let you know that I am in tolerable good health I hope these few lines may find you the same I hasten to give you the details of the election down here We sent Tuttle up shit creek without mercy the 8th polled 2,61 votes 150 for Stone & 11 for Tuttle. The 12th polled 2,33 votes 210 for Stone & 28 for Tuttle. The 35 polled 3,54 votes 221 for Stone & 138 for Tuttle the 8th gave Stone 250 majority the 12th 210 the 35th 88 you can see by the votes that these Regiments are not half full Stone got 6.81 votes & Tuttle 1.64 which makes 8.48 votes
