7 i got a letter from Almira dated Dec the 18th and was glad to hear from home but was sorry to hear that you had not heard from harmon but you need not be uneasy about him he is not dead or the hospital doctor would have reported immediately to the capt of our Co We got a letter from the regt the other day and one of our co Vanner Starr died since we left that makes 4 of our co that has died 3 died and one killed four of the boys has gone home on a furlough one lives in Knoxville his name is Henry Curtis you may have seen him he may know all about harmon it will not be long till we will be with
