We marched down to the Fair Grounds depot which was pretty well crowded with people. Cohens father and mother were there and I will never forget the way they cried. All of his aunts and uncles and a sprinkling of rabbis boo! hoo'ed in on the chorus. It certainly was a sorrowful day for a good many Jews by the looks of things at just exactly 12 o'clock our train started from Des Moines and as I was very tired I went to sleep and did not wake up until about 4 o'clock when we had our first meal since
