Monday Oct 1st 1917 Dear Sister, It is examination day for eyes and so we get a part of the afternoon off so I will write and tell you about our trip to Forest Hills New York but first I will tell you some of its history. Eight years ago there were only four houses and a lot of rich people bough the land and modeled an Old English town and now it has a population of about 10000 and all the houses and stores are old English style of architecture.
