P.S. I wasnt allowed to telegraph Papa when I got back Thursday Nov 1 My dear Dot, Well we have moved again from [illegible] Island to Camp Merritt. We are in fine barracks and it sure seems great to have a floor under our feet. When you stop to think I havent been indoors for four months you can see why. The weather here is fine and the trees are just shedding their leaves and it is very beautiful. We have no [drilling?] and about all we do is to keep our clothes and equipment clean. We feel like veterans now with nothing to do but look [nice?]. did Mildred give you my lost letter to her. How are the [illegible]
