Dec 7 1917 Dear Father Arrived at some port in England feeling fine but lousy as the dickens. We had good feed on the trip three meals a day and all we wanted to eat. We travelled third class and it was much better than before I intended to send you a cable gram but it costs 6 or 7 dollars and they wont send it collect to I wont send one as I havent got the money but I am pretty sure that you will hear though the Register or the Capital before I could get the cablegram through. They did not take out our insurance money last month so they took out 12.60 this time which will only leave me
