[Dec. 21, 1917] Halifax N. S. Dear Father. Have just arrived here on the S. S. Baltic a passenger liner of the White Star line. We expect to lay here in the harbor for a few days and will then sail for Liverpool. The weather is fine and I feel fine. We had chicken for dinner today so you can see we are getting good grub We eat at tables and have dishes just like white people. We have Yale doctors and a few
