Jan 3rd marched at sun rise passed through Mt Pleasant (a small but beautiful town) after we left this place the country becomes more broken & hilly & the road very bad march 12 miles " 4th march at sun rise pass throug Henryville, (a small town nearly deserted) the country is sparsly settled, march about 10 miles & go in to camp about noon & wait for the Supply train draw 4 days 3/4 rations
