A M, drew rations 20th in the morning we could see a little slush ice floating in river before night it became quite thick, we arrive at Louisville in the night pass through without stopping, 21st in the morning we were at Madison, Ind. ice running in the river quite heavy Saw a man riding in a cutter the first sleigh we have seen this winter
