that our command had been gone 3 days, was sent to the convalescent camp, at night went to theater the play was, taming of a Shrew. while I have been in the rear the regt has marched from Smithville to Wilmington thence to Kingston thence to Goldsboro thence back to Mosley Hall thence to Goldsboro again & thence to Raleigh May 3d revilee at day light & orders to march at 7 at 7 1/2 we break camp & march through the City
