with Lt Adle & our long talk of home & friends has made me homesick Camp near Salisbury N C. May 30th I got permission a go in the country get two doz eggs & 5 qrts of cherries, at one place I was surrounded by dogs & not being armed all I could do was to kick which I did with a vengeance I succeeded in repulsing them without receiving any injury
