leave camp march to Salisbury remain there about 2 hours were joined by 50 men of the 181st O marched in a South eastern course took the wrong road which made the distance several miles more, we passed within a mile of Gold Hill & camped on Mr Moss' farm 16 miles from Salisbury but we had marched about 20 miles, some of the men of the 181st broke open a milk house & stole the milk & butter that night I stood picket
