May 1865 - Set not to leave the court house yard that was drawing the knot a little to tight & several disobeyed the order & someone found some apple jack 21st morning clear some citizens come in to see us some take dinner with us one man some soldier gets tight Capt prohibits the citizens from selling liquor & threatens to punish us for disobeying orders 22nd town full of men women & children to see the yanks we invite
