June 1865 & lay untill 2 P.M. waiting for train, when the train come we (with the 174th O) went aboard there was not room enough for all of us our Co wait about an hour & take an extra train we run down the South Side r r arrive at Petersburg just before sun set here we overtake our regt, lay a few minutes then continue on run within 4 miles of City Point Switch off the track & lay all night here we find
