full of things going on. Tuesday evening the people of the town gave a reception to the teachers, in the opera house. The house was crowded. There was a programme given and then refreshments of ice cream and cake were served and the people visited. Last evening the M. E. church people gave a social on the schoolhouse lawn, and this evening Mr. Sabin, State Supt. is to lecture in the hall. Julia is not very well. Still she is about and does light work can do only light work. The rheumatism still bothers her. That is the reason she has not answered your letter; when she writes much her hands are always worse; stiffen and swell up; so it takes quite a while to get around to all her correspondents, for she always feels that day so they went to the funeral instead. They say Mr. Billings still waits on Lida Craditt.
