2 and got stiff and lame again and had a hard time to get along till I could get a girl. I have a girl now to do the work and am getting along pretty well only I have the rheumatism pretty bad in my knee and my hands are awfully crippled and getting worse all the time. Since I am so useless and can't work to amount to anything I would be glad if the Lord would take me unto himself but since he sees fit to spare me a while longer I intend to make the best of it and not worry over it if I can help it. I was sure glad to get down here in the sunshine again, there had been so much cloudy and disagreeable weather up there that the sunshine never looked so good to me before. For almost five weeks after we got down here the weather was perfect, warm sunny and pleasant. Since then we had some rain and snow but we enjoyed that too because we needed the moisture and the snow went right off. Tom got a new car in January and we both think it is the nicest thing we ever had. The roads are level here and it is nice to spin along to town and get there
