It will surely be nice if you can keep Wright till after harvest. Have you been knitting for the Red Cross? You used to be quite a knitter I remember you used to knit for my children. I can't knit nor sew any more. I am so sorry I can't knight I would gladly knit for the soldier boys every spare moment. I still have the old sewing machine that I got before Jamie was born. The Red Cross are using it now to sew for the soldiers. I presume you are busy with your setting hens now. We bought 14 hens since we came back but none of them want to set yet. They are all white leghorns but two. I have one Rhode Island red and one mixed one and hoped they would want to set early but they don't. The white leghorns are poor setters but good layers. I want to raise all I can this summer. I hear from Laura and Ida regularly. The chil-
