Mr. Neil seems to be a little better since it is a little cooler they thought he could not live that hot weather but Waite is a little better to it has been a bad time for stacking oats this summer it has rained so mutch that the oats won't dry long enough to stack they grew in the stack so bad we finished stacking hay for good yesterday corn looks splendid have 65 little pigs and have sold 20 or more a lots of hogs [illegible] with the cholera right around us and I expect to loose ours we milk 15 cows now but some of them are most dry here a fresh one but the calf sucks yet our potatoes are not very good it was to dry in June for them we have nice cabbage this summer and lots of tomatoes and sweet corn
