Camp Dodge Mon night Dear mother, Well I heard tonight that we don't go on the range until Wensday so I am going to try to write a few times between now and taps. this certainly has been a rotten day just downing drizzle to make it nasty and not enough to stay in I sure am glad I wasn't on guard duty tonight as that is bad enough on a nice night. I wish you could have seen me Sunday with my full uniform and side arms on walking back and forth right on main street while all the officers are walking back an forth.
